Casamento malogrado – a noiva está morta!? Sobre a transição da Natureza ao Espírito em Hegel

Abstract

Starting from Hegel’s provocative frase that the dead of nature is the awakening of spirit, this article aims to elucidate the passage from nature to spirit in Hegel’s system. It is argued that in order to understand this passage we must take seriously the internal divisions of Hegel’s system, which allow for the distinction of five different sistematic levels on which the passage from nature to spirit is developed. The complex conception of the passage from nature to spirit which thus appears in Hegel’s system connects different sistematic contexts which in today’s discussion about mind and body, or man and nature, use to be isolated.
